Supported Living Services currently have three houses in Ramsgate, Kent and flats in the community.
19 Augusta Road, Ramsgate

Our 16+ house is a large 4-storey house in a pleasant residential area of Ramsgate close to all amenities and local and national transport routes. The house consists of seven separate units with shared kitchens and bathrooms. Each resident has their own lounge/bedroom. An outreach office with 24-hour cover is available on site for residents to access at all times.

5 Chatham Street, Ramsgate

Chatham Street is situated close to the town centre for clients with learning disabilities. It is close to all amenities and local and national transport routes. This 5-storey house consists of four separate units with shared kitchen, dining room and bathroom. Each resident has their own bedroom and use of the client lounge. 24-hour staff cover is available on site for residents to access at all times.

High Street, Ramsgate
Our flexible support unit is located near the town centre and within walking distance of Chatham Street where access to staff on a 24-hour basis is available in emergencies. The High Street offers accommodation for those who need less intensive support with regular staff visits during the day. Therefore sleep in staff is not provided. Each resident has their own bedroom, shared kitchen and bathroom and use of the client lounge.

2 Bedroom Flat, Palm Bay

This luxury accommodation with sea views is available for those who are ready for independent living but still require low intensive support through our outreach programme. Would suit a couple or two individuals. Staff visit regularly and can be called out in emergencies 24 hours a day.

Outreach Service
If individuals are ready to live independently then we can assist them with obtaining a flat in the community.
24 Hour Access to Staff
Where the accommodation is not staffed 24 hours a day and there is an emergency, a client's first point of call is Augusta Road where a staff member can contact On-Call Staff.
Tenancies
Residents are granted assured shorthold tenancies for a fixed 6 months term. All tenancies are reviewed at 4 months and at the end of the six month term they revert into monthly periodic tenancies. Residents are not normally expected to need the service for longer than two years and are encouraged to move on when ready, competent and confident to do so, assuming that suitable move-on accommodation has been identified and is available.
During their stay at S.L.S residents are expected to abide by the house rules. Residents are encouraged to use the S.L.S complaints procedure if they are dissatisfied with the accommodation or service provided or are experiencing harassment or discrimination.
